Man's best friend

When I was helping put the 'Rural Reflections' Devotion book together, there was a reflection about working dogs. Of the few working dog photos I had, none were suitable to use in the book. Lucky for me, I happened to know some people with a beautiful collection of working dogs, and Bryton & Kathleen Virgo were kind enough to let me take some photos of their four-legged family members.

The late afternoon light was perfect and I was really happy with the photos I got! (I didn't get photos of the dogs working this time, but I'm hoping to go back one day and take some photos of the dogs in action).

These are some of my favourite photos and the first photo is the photo that made it into the book!

Capture Date: 11 Nov. 2020 (It's taken me a while to post these - whoops!)

Location: Virgo's Working Dogs, Emerald Qld

Everyone wanted pats from mum!

Of course I had to take a couple of photos of the sheep while I was there too!

They so badly wanted to go work the sheep on the other side of the fence.

Aren't they beautiful dogs? And how good is golden hour... 😍😍😍

PS. There are still copies of the 'Rural Reflections' Devotion book available! If you'd like to order a copy, click here to visit the Emerald Lutheran Church website. The book came together beautifully and is filled with inspirational reflections and stunning photographs of our region (taken by myself and other members of our church and Christian community). I think it is an absolute steal for just $20!
